The Name
The "Overview Effect" is a reported cognitive shift reported by astronauts when viewing Earth from space—a profound realization of our planet's fragility and the interconnectedness of all life. Whether or not spaceflight can achieve that alone is dubious. For me, it has come to represent an effort to see the world and universe from a higher perpsective.
The name "The Overview Effekt" (with a 'k') was chosen because the domain name was available.
